This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Michael Allan Gomez. Michael was born to Kelly and Steve Gomez in San Leandro, California on July 03, 1985. Michael was taken to God, by an avoidable trajedy on August 27, 2004

Quirky little slogans, trying to appear normal I guess. The holidays are here once again and our families are getting together to celebrate the birth of Christ, and the love of family. You may take this time for granted, not stopping long enough to appreciate the small things. You are looking for that bike, or that game, but it isn't the gifts that warm my soul, nor will it be the gifts that warm yours when you are forced to live through memories. Memories so inbedded in your being you can almost smell the coffee brewing in the morning. Or the smoke as it is billowing up the chimney Christmas morning. Or the smile when you are being woke up before sunrise by lifes most precious gifts, your children, on many Christmas Mornings. We were surely not monetarily rich, but we were so rich in love. In this world of computers and texting, where our children are getting further away from human emotion, and bonding; make it a point to count your blessings not your gifts. Our gift from GOD is the "Present" that is all we have. Not tomorrow, and yesterday is gone. One day you can wake up like you do every other day and your world will be changed forever.
. A thought for us all. For us to be greatful for the time we spent with Michael. The wonderful memories we have. The laughter that we shared. When we think of the alternative which is never to have known such a special person, I can honestly say with all the pain I feel and I know you all do, I wouldn't give up any of the time spent to not have to feel this pain today. Thank God we had Michael in our lives, and how blessed to have so many memories to choose from. Remember he is with us always, and that will never change.
We will remember him forever. Not a day goes by that we don't think about you precious child

A Gift Of Love You touched so many lives with your gentle ways. You truly cared about others. You would lend a ear when someone needed to talk. A few kind words when someone needed to hear something kind. Those hugs of yours you gave away so freely, so genuine, and so warm. You loved so deeply Mike and so pure. You were such a awesome young man, yet such a child at heart. You would be in such awe over lifes gifts. The excitement in your voice when you explained standing next to that whale. The twinkle in your eye holding the bear. The look on your face when you brought TC home. Such a little tiny kitten. You knew you would be the one that had to bottle feed her, but it was OK. You had plenty of love to go around. I will say it again, the world just will not be the same without you. Michael I know you hear me, and you know I miss you. You know I love you more than anywords could explain. I know God needed you, and God had a plan. You are the bird that flys so high and so free. You are the wind that so gently blows. You are the sunlight in my eyes in the early dawn. You are the moonlight on that warm summer night. You are the were what so many others strive to be. You never knew you were building such a "legacy" just by being you. In your 19 years you taught so many what some don't figure out in a lifetime. What love and forgiveness are all about. I watched you put friendship above your own hurt. To be a friend was what was important to you. I know you are with God and the many, many angels that surround you with love and light. What is a long time to us, is the blink of an eye to God. Our purpose in life, or reason to be I believe is to learn to depend on God. To learn to be one with him. When our job we are put on this earth is done, it is time to return to where we began, with God. The last words you said to me, besides I love you, was "Mom you may not have thought I listened to you, but I always did" says so much to me. It means that you had faith, and I know you knew God was coming to take you home. You knew how much you are loved yesterday, today and tomorrow. Heaven and Earth have No boundries with the love of a child. I miss you my little man. We all Love you heart and soul
